Disability Pension Benefit

The Disability Pension Benefit pays you monthly for the rest of your life.  When you die, no survivor benefit is payable unless you are married and elect one of the options forms of Disability Pension benefit that provides for a 50%, 66 2/3% or 75% survivor benefit.

The amount of the Disability benefit is the same as your regular pension amount; your pension credits times the value for each credit.  There is no reduction for your age.

If the value of your pension credits totals less than $1,620 per month, your benefit will be $1,620 per month because that is the minimum amount payable on a Disability Pension for those whose pension begins after 1998.
